Equipping pastors, strengthening churches, & making disciples in the UK
A New Season Begins
We are excited to share an important update about a new season our family is entering. As we prepare for some big transitions, we are asking for your prayers and support.
After five years back in the U.S., the Lord has grown our faith and has given us an amazing community around Athens and with Prince Avenue Baptist Church. During this time, we’ve also stayed closely connected with many pastors and their families serving in the U.K., especially in London.
The Need in London
Through visits, conversations, and having ministered there for a number of years before moving to Athens, we've come to understand the unique challenges pastors face there—loneliness, burnout, limited resources, and lack of support.
Many are faithfully laboring in small churches across a vast and diverse city with little encouragement. Our primary work will focus on coming along side these churches and their leaders to give them the support that they need.
God Opened the Door
In 2021, we began asking the Lord how we could come alongside them in a more meaningful way. This past spring, He opened a clear door: we’ve been invited by Slade Evangelical Church in Southeast London to partner with them in encouraging pastors, strengthening churches, and helping plant and revitalize new ones. We will be working with a network of churches in London and throughout the UK who share our desire to see people from all nations trust and follow Jesus.
As Paul told the Corinthians, "your abundance at the present time should supply their need"—and we believe God is asking us to do just that by sharing the resources He’s given us. Both Slade and the leadership at Prince Avenue have affirmed this calling.
What This Means for Our Family
In summer 2026, we plan to move to London with Liam (14) and Lillian (9). Lawson and Linden will remain in Athens to complete university. Chris will step away from his role in the family business, and we will rely fully on financial support from those God calls to join us in this mission.
International moves are nothing new for the Waye family…but this one may prove to be the most difficult. We leave behind our home, family, two adult children, an amazing church, and our community of friends.
How You Can Join Us
We need your prayers—for the move, for our kids, and for this new ministry. Please pray for Lawson and Linden as they stay behind. We will lean on our church family to love and support them in our absence.
We need your support—financially, emotionally, and practically. Stepping away from a stable job, a healthy church, and friends who know and love us well is a massive leap of faith for our family.
We are excited and hopeful for the days ahead, but we really cannot do this alone. We need an army of partners who will pray with us and support the work financially and practically. If you’d like to hear more or explore how to partner with us, you can do so by clicking the button below.
Thank You
We deeply value your prayers, your encouragement, and your support.
